Description

Added by Christian Michael

Goose Creek is a great place to hike and camp. It offers incredible views of the sky, mountain, and the burn scar left from the Hayman Wildfire.

Goose Creek is a fantastic spot to hike or camp. There is a dirt road leading to the trailhead, and it winds through the mountains and offers a great view of the valley. The dirt road is relatively easy and well-maintained. The burn scar from the Hayman fire is still really evident, so there are certain areas that are revegetating and are closed to vehicles and camping. However, there are several areas to pull off and camp at... or you can hike on foot and find much more secluded spots to spend the night. Hiking trails and hills are all over, and they have some awesome views.

Camp at Goose Creek Reviews

This is a cool area with off roading but people come here to shoot guns so be aware that you will hear gun shots if you camp here. There are a handful of free dispersed spots along the road. Plenty of room to spread out!
