Distance: 7.6 miles roundtripElevation gain:Secluded lake along the Colorado TrailAmazing sunsetsGreat views of Huron Peak and surrounding peaksWildflowers and wildlife
The trailhead is well-marked, and is fairly easy. Bring your dog - there is lots of space for dogs to roam at the lake!
Getting there: Follow US 285 S until you arrive at US Highway 24, then turn right. Follow 24 for about 2.5 miles, and turn right onto West Main Street (signs for Cottonwood Pass/306). Continue for about 20 miles, then make a slight right and the road turns into CO Road 209. Here, the road becomes dirt, and a 4x4 vehicle is most suitable.
