Visit Helmcken Falls in Wells Grey Provincial Park

Thompson-Nicola A, British Columbia

Description

Added by Joe Bowser

Helmcken Falls is the fourth highest waterfall in Canada, and is the main attraction of Wells Grey Provincial Park. The Myrtle River plunges 141 m down to the narrow Helmcken canyon below.

This Waterfall is deep within the heart of Wells Grey Park. Starting in Clearwater, BC, you drive for an hour deep into the park and turn to the parking lot where the falls are. The falls themselves are deep enough in the park that you may want to camp at Pyramid Campground nearby.
