Description

A nice, quick hike that leads to a small but pretty waterfall.

This trail has a parking lot near the Kananaskis Delta Lodge and Nakiska ski hill. When coming from Calgary, take the highway 40 (Kananaskis) turn off of highway 1. Take highway 40 for around 20 minutes before turning right onto Mt. Allan Drive. After the first intersection on Mt. Allen Drive, take the first right into a parking lot (also called Stoney Trailhead). It is open during all four seasons.

Starting from the trail head, a short and easy hike with very little elevation. At the end of the trail there in a beautiful little waterfall, which in winter months is frozen.

The hike there and back took less then 2 hours, with lots of places to take pictures, including near the waterfall. After reaching the first falls, you can turn back, or continue on to see many more beautiful waterfalls. Although the trail does get significantly harder.

Great for hiking with young children, and dog friendly.
