We camped Fri-Mon. Friday and Saturday nights were crowded, and the tent sites were moderately separated but a bit too close and noisy. Sunday night was great, we pretty much had the place to ourselves and it was darker and quieter, better to enjoy the full moon. Facilities seem luxurious, with 24-hour bathrooms with showers, and abundant water sources shared by approx. 6+ sites each. Hunt your own firewood, or buy a composite wood bundle from the registration office. We hunted our own, and spent about 5 hours per day, hiking on the moderate trails surrounding the area (with a few short, steep climbs). Make sure to take plenty of water if you go walking/hiking, as there are slim to no water sources along the trails (there are a few bathroom spots though). Wildlife consists of squirrels, deer, chipmunks, a snake, and some spiders. No raccoons, and virtually no biting insects if you remain covered. Quite a blissful weekend.
