The Sage Trail and East Ridge Trail Loop in Daley Ranch, Escondido, California, offers a moderately challenging 5.0-mile hike suitable for hikers, mountain bikers, and runners. The trail features diverse terrains, including dirt paths, rocky sections near the lake, and a paved segment at the start. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views from multiple points along the Sage Trail and the summit of Stanley Peak. The trail is accessible year-round and is dog-friendly; however, dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times.

Parking is available at the trailhead in a gravel lot at the end of La Honda Drive, free of charge. Additional parking is available at Dixon Lake for a fee of $5 on weekends and holidays.

Daley Ranch operates from dawn to dusk daily. Visitors are required to adhere to the following regulations:

• Dogs must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times.

• Mountain bikers must yield to hikers and equestrians; hikers must yield to equestrians.

• Alcohol and smoking are prohibited.

• Fishing, swimming, and overnight camping are not allowed.

• Visitors must pack out all trash.
