I rode this trail from the base at Aspen Glen, which is all up hill from that point, up to Grand View look out on a bike rental I found further in town. I rented a lower grade mountain bike and I paid for it dearly on these hills. If you're like me and prefer a more premium bike to rent, I'd recommend Bear Valley Bikes (bvbikes.com) located across the street from Aspen Glenn's picnic area. On the ride, this time of year where snow is very minimal you'll find it pretty slick and dry so a fat tire would be useful here. There are a few steep slopes that borders the trail shared with hikers/bikers so careful on the downhills. There are many downhill trails, the more advanced being on the other side of the lake near Grout bay (not 100% sure that's the name). Overall, it was a nice ride even on a low quality bike so if you come prepared the mountain won't disappoint.
