The view is incredible!!!!The drive up to the park is beautiful through the woods.Theres a large parking lot and picnic tables at the top.I was disappointed that several of the trails were closed and I couldn't get down to Indian beach. We saw a herd of elk in a field next to the highway when we were leaving.

We had a great guide for our raft trip out of Maupin.I totally recommend this for families! It was a great experience and I'd love to do it every year.During the slower parts of the river you are able to spray the other rafts going by with water weapons or jump in for a swim. The rapids are the best, really gets the blood pumping.

I recommend going to the rose garden in June or July...the roses smell amazing.I love to read the names of all the different roses. My husband and I have been there twice...I think it's a romantic place to take a date.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've been to in the area. The color of the pools of water are incredible. The trail across the creek from jawbone flats is magical.I swear fairies live there. If I were a fairy that's where I would live.

This waterfall is on the property of the Columbia Gorge Hotel. The grounds there are lovely. We stayed at the hotel it has Victorian decor...I recommend eating at the restaurant for breakfast while looking out at the Columbia river. We saw a couple of wind surfers while we enjoyed the delicious food and coffee.
