We've been going here for years! After (or before) seeing my favorite spot in the world-Crown Point vista house, we always stop here! Great smaller falls, super photo ops (and selfies with the falls of course for the younger crowd). You can go down under it if you dare, but the kids and pups usually play in the smaller stream it creates farther down. Dog and family friendly! Walk a little down the path to see a great big bridge (that you walk by on your way down to the falls) and a grassy park with picnic tables and water!

We left Hillsboro around 5 am and got there before sunrise at 6. It was a little confusing getting there and we ended up at one wrong place, but soon realized our mistake. You can drive wherever you want and then park and hike/walk the rest. We brought our border collie and he had a blast running around exploring. There were quite a few other people camping and we may try that next! Definitely recommend trying this place out! Breathtaking when the sun rises!!
