Camping at Lost Park Campground

First come first serve at this rustic campground and we loved it! I have been camping since 6M old and love it. However, My Husband and 10M old Son had never been camping....ever! With the exception of staying in a rustic cabin in Michigan over Thanksgiving. Beautiful hour and half drive into Pike National Forest to the Campground and Walk in access points. So have your food, gas, ice, and wood stocked! We were one of two campers of the 12 sites and there were four cars from people hiking inPERFECT! Keep in mind we went on a Tuesday night. We chose site 10 with AMAZING views. However after two cold nights do to wind and cold mountain temps, we decided next time we may choose wind shelter over views. Overall we will be back. Oh! And the hiking was equally amazing although with a little one with us we didn’t venture far.
