Perfect place for camping with friends and family!

I am currently a student and we don't have much money to waste on the weekend. So a few friends and I planned a meal and brought Bear Creek soup, tortillas, cheese, eggs, salsa chips, a few beers, and some donuts. Our campus outdoor facility lets us borrow equipment for free. We rented a tent, some sleeping bags for those who did not own any, and an ice chest. We all piled into the car and jammed to some disney music, chatted about our stressful life at school that week while enjoying the beauty on the ride up the mountain. Upon arriving we discovered we were the only people to be camping that night. We set up camp and started a fire! I wondered around other empty campsites and found twigs and more wood for our fire. Once our fire was started I set my rock that I found at Petit Jean in the hot coals of the fire (something I learned while working at Yellowstone this summer). This rock is completely flat and obtains enough room to cook on. I set it in the fire and once it was hot enough we boiled the tasty soup. Once we ate our delicious soup we walked around to the park near by. We played on the play set and swung on the swings acting like silly children we once were. Once we were back at the campsite we set up our hammocks and chilled and discussed life while gazing at the bright moon. After that we pilled into the tent and fell asleep. I looked up at the stars and thought about my life and how lucky I was to share this memory with friends. The next morning we cooked our eggs on the sacred rock and fried up some hash browns! Such a tasty meal. Our campsite was right next to a hiking trail so awkwardly some families walked by while we were cooking. We laughed and waved. We packed up camp and left. It's a great place for friends and families.
