Description

Added by Whitney Scasny

This breathtaking (literally and figuratively) hike displays a true Arizonian landscape and has many scenic views along the way.

Piestewa Peak is the second highest point in the Phoenix Mountains, following Camelback Mountain. The elevation reaches 2,610 ft and will give anyone visiting the area a true sense of Arizona's natural beauty.

You'll find a variety of wildflowers, rocks, scenery and resting spots along the way. The base is easily accessible and the entire hike will take approximately 1 hour depending your skill level. The trail is a little more difficult than it looks, so be sure to bring extra water to stay energized in the Arizona sun!
