This is a lovely hike and I highly recommend it! The description is accurate, the climb is a bit intense at a few points, but would rate it more moderate overall. The views are exceptional - you can see the entire Gorge, Mt Adams and Mt Hood, and so many beautiful landscapes. Lots of natural vegetation. In the early spring, tons of wildflowers abound. Even in late May, many wildflowers everywhere, creating lovely photo ops. Bring water and your camera!

I'm a native of the PNW and just finally did this hike today- my only regret is not doing it sooner! This is such a wonderful hike to do with family and/or friends, and especially with anyone visiting from out of town. Beautiful views and scenery the entire way to the Falls, lots of photo opps. The Falls are so impressive, recommend over many of the popular falls on the Oregon side. We brought some food to enjoy at the picnic table at the end of the hike back. Can't recommend this one enough!

Gorgeous views and scenery - some parts are a bit steep so I agree it's more of an intermediate hike. But lots of photo opps and beautiful water scenes (long exposure). Highly recommend!

This was a fun and pleasant hike in the Columbia Gorge. Lots of photo opportunities, both with your camera phone or a nice digital camera. Overall an easy hike, a bit of an incline in the beginning but very manageable. Views are breathtaking! Highly recommend it.
