Description

Added by Scott Pearson

A turquoise lake next to a blue lake separated by a hill.

Starting at the south fork trailhead in Eagle River just a half hour north of Anchorage. Hiking trails surrounded by incredible mountain scenery at the end is the big payoff with 2 lakes separated by a hill. One of the lakes is turquoise due to all the minerals from it being melting glacier water. It's not a very difficult hike, although the boulder field may twist your ankles and it's 12 miles round trip.
