Little Mill Creek Trail is a 2.6 mile out and back hike that takes you by a creek located near Lenexa, Kansas.

This trail is perfect for beginners, but can be enjoyed by all skills levels. It’s nicely paved, shaded, and is mostly used for walking, biking, and nature trips. Note that you will see neighborhood homes along the way, so you won’t be totally immersed in the wilderness.

If you cross the street, there is a nice park that’s great for family outings. A pond in the park boasts a unique grass island with a dragon statue sitting in the center. Stone steps lead directly to the island-- an especially fun walk to do with kids.

Overall, this is a great, short family and kid friendly trail. Dogs are welcome too! It’s the perfect place to get your regular dose of outdoor time in nature.

Hike Little Mill Creek Trail Reviews

This is a great trail for walking and biking. It is nice a wide and paved. If you are lucky you might see deer. Some of the path is heavily treed and some of it goes right next to beautiful backyards. Much of the trail follows Mill Creek. A beautiful way to spend time out of doors.
