This is a moderately trafficked trail that goes out and back through Des Moines.
Jordan Creek Trail is a 14.5 mile out and back hike that takes you past wildlife located near West Des Moines, Iowa. Part of this trail is also suburban and it connects neighborhoods with shopping and retail, schools, and recreational amenities. Once you get to the suburban part of the trail there are countless activities to do on and around the trail.
