After going through the trail mentally to write this "Adventure", I would have to say it has probably been my favorite hiking experience so far.

If you're going to go to conkle's hollow, I suggest doing the rim trail. It's only 2.5 miles, but it's well worth the hike. Plus there aren't as many people that hike the rim compared to the handicap-able sidewalk that goes only a half miles back. Also, to avoid people and the heat, I suggest going early in the morning. My friend and I got here around 8 am on a Saturday, and there were only about 2 people that we came across.

I loved the hike! Went here a few years ago, and it was neat to learn about the history of the Interlaken Resort, as well as go inside of some of the buildings.

If you're going to stay at the state park campground, I suggest reserving a campsite in the primitive/family hike-in. It's closer to real camping than the campsites in the main campground. People aren't obnoxiously loud and you don't have those people who bring their trailers and RVs who are "camping". Most people who camp in the primitive campground are very courteous of others, and you shouldn't have any trouble with them stealing or being disruptive.

I've been here MANY times throughout my life, and it's definitely a place to visit in Ohio. I recommend going early in the morning before the crowds arrive. I got here at about 7 am yesterday and I was the only one there. It completely changes your perspective of the place when you go and there isn't anyone there.
