Just in love with God's beautiful creation!

Short hike, great views, awesome place for sunsets, and there are a few spots to camp if you need a last minute spot but overall a fun new place to visit with easy access.

Fantastic place to overnight camp, some of the most incredible views in all of the south that I have experienced. We had a great night camping on top of the knob, it was pretty crazy because we saw forest fires popping up miles away. If you're just getting into backpacking/camping this would be a great first trip. I do wish the hike was longer but if you're running short on time this is the perfect location.

I've done this hike 25-30 times and it never gets old, it can be a challenging hike if your legs are new to the trail but it's worth every step to watch a sunset. If you plan on camping be sure to have a canister or a secure bag to put food in, I had a bear encounter on the very top once but nothing serious. Just don't leave food out or you might meet a new friend

This fire tower did not disappoint, the road up to the parking lot was very well maintained so the 15min ride up was great. The hike it's self only took 40min with our 90l packs, we didn't bring tents due to the weather being super clear so check the forecast before you go up. We slept on top of the tower with amazing views of the sunset/sunrise and got to look at stars all night. We met some thru-hikers and gave them a ride to Franklin so they could resupply, so you can always bring a few protein bars for those guys. They are very appreciative of it. Highly recommend to make a visit to Outdoor 76 store in downtown Franklin if you're looking to grab a brew or the Lazy Hiker brewery is a great stop for a brew and some great food at their food truck.

Man what an incredible place, the hike is all down hill and can be tricky if wet so wear some good chacos or shoes. Spent over 4 hours just relaxing, cliff jumping, and swimming, this place lived up to its name. Perhaps one of my favorite swimming holes in the south
