This spot truly shows how majestic this world is. Just 20 minutes outside of Mammoth Lakes hides this gem. The photos don't show how incredible this place is. If you find yourself to be up in Mammoth Lakes or around the area, take a stop and see it for yourself!
When traveling north on HWY 395, look for Hot Creek Hatchery Road. Make a right on that road and follow for about 3 miles. Keep on that road until you reach a parking lot, from there you can reach two main locations - Hot Creek, and the infamous "down range" photography spot. For you photographers, continue down the road and veer left following the creek from above. This requires some hiking over rocks, snow and some dirt - its all apart of the adventure! We spent about an hour running around taking photos and enjoying the views. Here is the address to that parking lot -Hot Creek Hatchery Rd, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546
Enjoy guys! And stay safe.
