Free CampingStunning views of the Tetons
This is a great free campsite near Jackson, Wyoming with great access to (and an incredible view of) Grand Teton National Park.
If you're coming from Jackson, take a right on Antelope Flats Road, which is just past Moose Junction. Follow Antelope Flats Road until you reach a junction. Take a left, following the sign that says "National Forest Land" (fun fact--to the right is Harrison Ford's house). Follow this road for a short while until it turns right and starts to head up the mountain. You'll start to see campsites all along the road, so find one you like that's empty and set up your tent! The road is a little sketchy in some places, but you should be fine in a normal vehicle (my Honda made it up no problem).
Keep in mind that the campsites are dry; i.e., there is no water source or bathroom. It also gets pretty cold at night depending on the season, so even if it's warm during the day, be sure to check the weather. I'm not aware of any restrictions on building fires here as it's not technically in the park, and most of the sites have firepits, so bring your wood and s'mores ingredients!
