Description

Added by Blane Arnold

A massive basin that not many people visit. Mostly because everyone is distracted by the draw dropping Titcomb Basin location just West of Indian Basin. If you're thinking about summiting Wyomings third tallest mountain then you'll want to come up through this basin. Which will eventually lead you to Fremont Peak.

Beginning at Elkhart Park Trailhead just North of the town of Pinedale you follow the trail for roughly 15 miles. Early season there will still be tons of snow in the basin so you may want to camp around Island Lake which is about a mile from the entrance of the basin.
