Located in the Wind River Range, Fremont Peak stands at an astounding 13,745 feet above sea level. This is also Wyomings third tallest peak
Easily an iconic peak of the Winds. Starting at the Elkhart Park Trailhead you'll want to travel to Island Lake. You'll then have the option to go through Titcomb Basin or Indian Basin, head up into Indian Basin. From there you'll want to follow the trail until you get to where it opens up into the Basin. Follow the ridge to your left until you get to where the ridge and the base of Fremont meet. It's only a class 2 or 3 climb to the summit. If the climb feels harder than that, there's a good possibility you're off route. These photos above were taken in late July after an above average snow year.
