Franklin Falls is a sight to see in the summer time, but in the winter its even better. Icicles form around the waterfall during the winter months.
You start the adventure from a newer large parking lot that fits probably 20 to 30 cars. Leave the trailhead and follow the creek passing several of the rentable cabins. Many people stay in these during Ski season being that is only a couple minute shuttle from the Snoqualmie Pass. The trail is quite the easy and pleasant walk with a few uphill sections. As you continue along the trail you pass a couple view points overlooking the creek below. Once you hear the falls you know you're getting close. The walk down the falls can be a little tricky. At the bottom the trail it is blasted out of the rock wall making it slippery in the winter time. Stand below the falls and marvel at the size of the falls and icicles hanging down around the waterfall. It's quite cold down by the falls so make sure the pack some warm clothes!
