Description

Added by Audrey Rose

Fairly easy hike, panoramic views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, etc. at the lookout at the summit. Fun scramble to the lookout as well!

This trail starts out in the dense forest, after about a mile it opens up to a large rock scree slope, don't scramble up it, follow the markers to the left! Then the trail emerges into large granite boulders with markers to lead the way. You end with a scenic semi-forested trail leading to a quick rock scramble to the lookout at the summit.

Can be crowded at the top so leave early to avoid this! It is common to enjoy sunset or sunrise in a hammock attached to the lookout...that adventure is still yet to be had by me, but look out for it this summer!
