Amazing waterfallsGreat views - mountains and riverWildflowersShort hike with great views

The trailhead starts at the road on your way to Paradise from Longmire. There is parking, but it is a very popular hike so parking is limited! Go on weekdays for better chances of solitude. The hike starts out with a slight incline as you meander through the forest and take in the fresh air. After about a half mile, maybe less, the trail becomes steeper with some switchbacks. It is nothing very hard though. However the trail is pretty rocky, you'll have to watch your step! You'll follow the river for a lot of the hike. When you get to the small wooden bridge, pause and take in the waterfalls. After a few, keep trekking towards the beautiful comet falls. The hike to the viewpoint is 1.8 miles, so 3.6 miles round trip.

If you're feeling more ambitious, head further to Van Trump Park for views of Rainier, Adams and amazing scenery.
