Titlow Beach, Trail, Park & Splash Pad

Tacoma, Washington

Description

Added by Marcus Shields

Titlow offers a little bit of everything. They have a great path/trail that loops around the park. You can use it as a running trail or a walking trail. It leads you down to the beach where there are stunning views of Fox Island and the Tacoma Narrow Bridge. Great spot to play in the water, throw rocks, play, etc... They have picnic table up top just past the train tracks with a restaurant that has great ice cream cones in the summer months.Titlow also has a huge grassy area, a large park with swings and a splash pad during the summer months. There is plenty to see and do here.

The trail that loops around the park is a great quick walk. Just around 1 mile for the entire loop. You can park just up the hill from the park in a gravel/dirt parking lot and start hiking from there. You will cross over the train tracks, past a boat club then there are multiple trails to follow and some of them will lead you right down to the beach. Great way to spend an afternoon or drop by for a quick walk and trip to the beach. The views are amazing as well and you can grab food or an ice cream at Steamer's as well. When the tide is low you can search for star fish and other little critters. My kiddos love this place and we go often rain or shine!
