Mt. Pilchuck Lookout Tower

Granite Falls, Washington

Description

Added by Davin Lee

AMAZING views of surrounding mountains and forestsHike is around 5.4 miles roundtrip~2200-2300 ft elevation gainDuration of hike: ~4 hours rountrip

A beautiful hike through forests and open boulder fields, this hike is a wonderful way to experience nature at its finest. Although it is very popular, it gives you some of the best views available in this area and is accessible enough that if you've done Lake 22, Wallace Falls, or something similar with ease it should not be too hard to tackle. HIGH CLEARANCE CAR RECOMMENDED, the road up to the trail has many potholes and small cars may have trouble!

Note: Once you leave the forest and see the amazing views while traversing the boulder fields, take pictures UPWARDS, not of the surrounding mountains! The view at the top is even better of the surrounding landscape but you can't take a picture looking upward when you're at the top :)
