Description

This adventure was epic. Started at Mt. Ellinor Lower Trailhead. We started out hike around 4 A.M. We were the only ones there and it was pitch black out for a couple hours until sunrise. Around 3000k feet we ran into the blizzard which lasted all day. As we reached the summer trail summit sign we began our motion to the peak. There were avalanch zones all over, 50 foot trees buried, and so much snow there was no trail. The guys and myself bushwhacked and crawled through neck deep snow until we reached the top. The blizzard was so intense we could not see anything from about 15 yards out. The peak was covered in snow. It took us a few hours to plow through everything. There was no view but the adventure was well worth it. I cannot wait to do this trail in the summer.
