The trail features a significant elevation gain of 2,651 feet, making it a demanding trek for even seasoned hikers. The trail offers a variety of natural features, including a dense forest, a clear stream, and a large granite boulder field. The trail's highest point, Robertson Mountain, provides panoramic views of the surrounding Shenandoah National Park.
