A moderately strenuous hike with incredible views in Camels Hump State Park.

The Burnt Rock Mountain Trail is a 4.9 miles hike just outside of Moretown, Vermont. Dogs are allowed on this trail, but must be kept on leash. The trail turns into a bit of a scramble near the top, so be prepared to experience some fun terrain. This hike is a hidden gem, and doesn’t get as crowded as other nearby mountains and trails. The summit has a lot of open space, so hikers can spread out and enjoy a snack, picnic lunch, or simply take in the views.
