Unbelievable scenery, worthwhile hike, unique landscapes, tour information on the trail, relax and swim at the end of the trail, within the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.

You begin your hike at Calf Creek Campground, just at the south end of Hell's Backbone scenic drive on Route 12. The trail is natural so you experience many of Utah's natural textures, including mostly sand and sandstone rocks. The hike has many slight inclines and descents, but is mostly pretty steady - making it a nice hike for people of all ages. The trailhead says the hike will take 4 hours total, but can be done faster, depending on your pace. It is 8 miles round trip. It is hot in the sun but cools down at the waterfall as you relax in the sand and in the water at the waterfall. A worthwhile hike - could not more highly recommend it!
