One of the most unbelievable places to catch a sunrise in not only Utah, but the world.

Located in Canyonlands National Park, Island in the Sky region, this half mile loop to Mesa Arch is a no brainer. From the Island in the Sky visitor center, drive south for 6.3 miles and turn left into the parking area. Just beyond the Mesa Arch parking lot, the trail splits into a Y. Both of these routes will get you to Mesa Arch and both routes are easy with equally beautiful views. Arrive early to catch sunrise and a great spot. You most likely will not be alone when watching the sunrise as the arch attracts people from all over. In the summer it is more crowded. My favorite time to go is in the winter. Amazing views with less people.
