This hike has the most beautiful scenery along the way. Once you get to the top there is a lake and a couple small waterfalls. I would suggest bringing a hammock to chill in once you get to the top. I also did this in July and there was still snow so you get up pretty high.
This hike is pretty short in millage but the elevation gain is pretty instance. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to complete this hike especially if you want to stay at the lake for a while (I did the hike alone in about 3.5 hours). There is one part where the trail kind of disappears and there is nothing but rocks but if you climb up them a little bit the trail is off the right.
