March 22 – March 29, 2019. Late March brings spectacular colors to Chile’s Aysén region, as the southern beeches turn red and the first snows dust the mountain peaks. This expedition catches one of the most magical moments of the Patagonian season for quiet reflection and inspired adventuring.
Additional Information
We will meet in Coyhaique, Chile on March 22, and travel south on Chile’s famous (and famously rugged) Southern Highway. Upon arriving at Patagonia National Park, we will spend nearly a week hiking, scrambling, and camping in the deep backcountry of this remote area. After long days on the trail, we’ll enjoy community-based conversations around shared meals and a campfire. We’ll conclude with a celebratory dinner at the elegant restaurant in the park headquarters, and will return to Coyhaique on March 29th.
