Introducing Our New Partnership with Coleman®

Why we're teaming up with the iconic outdoor brand and what it means for our mission to get #EveryoneOutside.

By: The Outbound Collective + Save to a List

Earlier this year we announced our goal to connect with more brands whose goals align with our purpose and values to build a more inclusive outdoors. As a gear company that recognizes the importance of reaching consumers through emotional and purposeful connection, we are thrilled to be able to further expand our storytelling through this new collaboration.

We’re excited to grow our storytelling initiatives with our newest partnership with Coleman®.

Coleman inspires connections between people and the outside with gear that goes everywhere we like to go: on the trail, by the lake, at the campsite, and these days, even our backyard.

Beyond the iconic camp cooler, Coleman also believes in a calling to the outdoors -- a sense of belonging -- that has the power to connect everyone.

Jim Pisani, CEO of Newell Brands Outdoor & Recreation Division shares this, "Much like our consumers, Coleman is on a journey of discovery. The Outbound Collective is a natural fit for us with shared values anchored in hope and inclusivity. We believe that when people connect in the outdoors, ANYTHING is possible. We also believe that the outside is a place for EVERYONE. The outside is calling all of us. This partnership is a great example of our willingness to answer the call—to reimagine a better tomorrow for everyone."

Over the last 120 years, the classic outdoor brand has provided high-quality products and been a part of making memories outdoors. Over the next year, they’ll be connecting communities with everyday to epic outdoor experiences through the Coleman Collective. Selected members within the outdoor industry were chosen to share their passions outdoors and how those connections have shaped their experiences in their respective communities.

From creating their first gas-powered lantern in the early 1900’s, to decades later--they’ve added coolers, tents, sleeping bags and more to their selection of outdoor goods. Wherever #theoutsideiscalling, Coleman is there.

And, to further support our aligned commitment in amplifying and increasing the percentage of published content from underrepresented communities, Coleman will join our friends Eddie Bauer, HOKA ONE ONE, and Sawyer Products in providing financial support and gear packages to current residents in the Writers Residency for Underrepresented Storytellers.

Be sure to follow Coleman on Instagram and stay tuned for future announcements with new partners who share our joint mission to get #EveryoneOutside.

We want to acknowledge and thank the past, present, and future generations of all Native Nations and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands we travel, explore, and play on. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
