10 Must-Do Winter Hut Adventures in Colorado

A backcountry hut trip is the definition of the best of both worlds.

We love everything about exploring during the winter: bundling up in layers, the crisp fresh air, playing in the snow...count us in for all the winter wonderland fun. We'll admit it though, sleeping outside in the winter takes next level commitment, gear, and tolerance for the cold. Not to say we aren't down with winter camping, but we're even MORE stoked about the prospect of spending the day running around in the snow then heading back to a cozy cabin in the woods.

Just imagine you've spent the whole day skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or whatever you love to do in the snow and you return to play games around the wood burning stove, eat a hot meal, then wake up to toasty dry socks and underwear to put on in the morning. Come on, you know it sounds pretty amazing. Now that you're stoke is sufficiently built, check out some of Colorado's best hut adventures and make your reservations ASAP!
