We checked in with our friends at OneSeed Expeditions to learn a bit more about their trips, and how they give back.
Travel with Impact
OneSeed is a purpose-driven social enterprise that invests 10% of all revenue in local communities through their OneSeed Fund. Take a life changing trip, and an entrepreneur launches or expands her small business.
By working directly with nonprofit microfinance partners in the countries where they travel, OneSeed ensures that local experts drive loan approval and investment. As of December 2019, the Fund had made 767 loans, 90% of which went to women, for a total of $353,784.93 loaned.
Guided, Small Group Trips
OneSeed employs 65 local guides that live in eight different countries. Each guide earns fair compensation, is trained in risk management, and has the chance to expand their skills and experiences each year. Guides also participate in a profit-sharing program that totals 3.5% of OneSeed's annual revenue.
From wilderness interpretation to cultural understanding, traveling with an experienced local guide allows you to connect with the environment and people in a whole new way.
30 Destinations Worldwide
OneSeed travels to 30 destinations, from Patagonia to the Himalayas.

Carbon Neutral Adventures
In addition to their Leave No Trace commitments and annual trail cleanups, OneSeed Expeditions will become carbon neutral in 2020 by tracking and offsetting carbon emissions for each trip, including the internal operations work that happens behind the scenes.
