The Bull Creek Flats Trail is a gorgeous 7.6 mile hike in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The trail is perfect for families, hikers, trail runners, and for those hoping to see birds and wildlife.
The trail follows a river and is well shaded. The giant trees on this hike are enough to make anyone swoon. Begin the hike on the right branch of the Rockefeller Loop. A seasonal footbridge (installed from Mid-May to late September) connects the Rockefeller Loop to the Bull Creek Flats Trail. The Bull Creek Flats Loop is comprised of the Bull Creek Flats Trail on the south side of the creek and the Big Tree Trail on the north. If the bridge is not up - your best option is to hike an out-and-back on the Bull Creek Flats Trail.
