Top Reasons To Hike:Beautiful waterfall on the beach.Bass Lake is about halfway to the waterfall where you can go swimming and use the rope swing.Great place for landscape photography.Escape from the crowds (during the week)

Alamere Falls Video: Once you're at the Palomarin Trail Head you will begin your hike with stunning views along the coast that will slowly turn in forest and dirt trails. Very early into the hike you will see a map of the trail (highly recommend you take a picture), to reach the waterfall take the "Coastal Trail". The majority of the hike is relatively flat up until you reach the "Alamere Falls" sign which you will see on your left hand side about 4 miles into the hike. Once your on that trail be careful for poison oak there's a lot! After that you are almost in the clear, you will have a small climb down some rocks to reach the beach and the waterfall.

Other things to note:

The parking lot fills up very early in the day, get there early or be prepared to park on the side of the road. Phone/GPS reception can be unreliable before/during the hike. Print out directions to be safe. Fill up on gas well before you reach the trail, theres not many gas stations in that area. Pack food, like gas stations there are not too many places to eat near the trail especially if you are trying to grab some fast food.
