A tough workout with an amazing view as a reward. You've been meaning to get in shape. Duration: 1 hour.
Rumor has it there are almost 300 stairs from top to bottom. This is a great place to get some exercise in if you're up for running or walking up the stairs. Do a few laps (roundtrip) and you'll be pretty happy with your workout. If you're really looking to get after it, throw in a few pushups and sit-ups at the top. On the weekends it can get a little crowded with people doing circuit training at the top. But hey, if that happens, take a look out at the scenic views of the bay and catch your breath for a second!

Stash a water bottle. There isn't a drinking fountain nearby.
Amazing workout if you're looking for a quick, intense cardio session. Avoid the weekends midday if possible - early morning or late afternoon/evening is your best bet to avoid tourists and traffic on the stairs. Parking is easy on the street at either the top or bottom of the stairs. Bring a yoga mat for some abs to break up the stair repeats and don't forget your water bottle!
