Perched among gorgeous groves of Oak and Manzanita trees in Cleveland National Forest, Oak Grove Campground is an absolute gem.
Apart from being visually appealing, the campground features open, yet secluded sites that are perfect for stargazing and shooting-star spotting. Each campsite has a picnic table and a grill. There are vault toilets and flush toilets. There is also potable water. If you are interested in seeing birds and other wildlife, you'll be pleased to read that mountain lions, mule deer, coyote, gray fox, ringtail cat, jackrabbits, and desert cottontails are abundant. Book your campsite through Reserve America.
1.5 miles away from the campground is the Oak Grove Trail, located behind the Ranger Station. Although steep in places, the trail rewards hikers with views of the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Mountains. There is also an active telescope nearby at the Palomar Observatory.
