In search of Paradise

So you've decided to visit the Philippines. You Google search it, you see the beautiful photos; the long white sand beaches, the crystal clear waters, the swaying palm trees; the hoards of tourists in bright orange life jackets everywhere you look. Wait...what? Yep, that's the bit you don't see when you're at home getting excited about island life.

Want to know where a tropical island paradise exists without a single other soul there to spoil the view? Ok, follow my lead. 

1. Fly to Manilla. Don't stay there, keep moving.

2. Take a domestic flight (Cebu Pacific) to Coron Island, West of Manilla.

3. Don't be tempted to stay put once you arrive. Jump on a local bus and head East to a place called Busuanga (50 mins ride).

4. Find a local boat, negotiate with the skipper to take you to two islands; Black Island and Pamilican Island (one hour ride).

5. Take photos, swim in the stunning water, lay on the hot white sand, make all of your Instagram friends jealous. And then thank me later.
