Description

Added by Gustavo Quiros

Oneonta Gorge is a beautiful moss filled canyon with an equally amazing waterfall at the very end. This quick hike will challenge your adventurous side and put you to the test in freezing chest high water.

Oneonta Gorge is located off the Historic Columbia River Highway. Typing "Oneonta Gorge" in your GPS will take you to the closest parking area and from there you can walk up the Oneonta Creek to reach the destination.

The hike is not that technical and can be a little difficult if done barefoot so water shoes or hiking boots is recommended. Parts of the creek will have you climb logs and others will have you almost fully submerge yourself in ice cold water. At the foot of the waterfall you can swim and take photographs.

*Take note that this is a very popular trail and there are normally crowds of people joining you in this adventure.
