Toketee Falls is an amazing waterfall and forest hike, located 57 miles from Roseburg, Oregon. The view from the lookout point is incredible, but the view from the bottom is truly life changing.
Starting at the Toketee Trailhead, you have about a quarter mile walk/hike to the lookout point. The majority of the hike is just through a path but there are quite a few stairs once you get closer to the falls. If you have weak knees I recommend wearing extra supportive shoes as the stairs are pretty excessive. Once you get to the lookout point there is a bench to sit on and catch your breathe while overlooking the Toketee Falls.
For the more adventurous, there is a cut out in the fence where you can climb through and repel and walk down 90 foot cliff side. This is not for the faint of heart, children, or the elderly. Climbing back up is surprisingly easier than the climb down.
Once you're at the bottom the view is amazing. You can feel how cold the water is via the mist coming off the falls. There are several large rocks to take the plunge from into the pool. The water is about 40F degrees so be prepared!
