Description

Added by Hannah Henthorne

This trail winds alongside Alum Creek and Marina. Gentle hills, stream crossings, and aggressive roots make this trail a tough but rewarding beauty.

The trailhead begins near the Alum Creek dog park. This starting point forms the intersection of the "8"-shaped course. Head north to complete the first 10k loop along single-lane rocky trails. The bottom loop offers similar terrain, but features more direct trail access to the water. Warning: streams will be flooded after a few days of rain on this portion of the trail. Expect muddy conditions and waist-deep crossings.

Depending on the weather, you may want to pack a change of socks and shoes. Trail-friendly running shoes are a must, as the trails can be slippery and root-infested.
