Description

Added by Kristin Wood

This is a nice quick hike for anyone with limited amount of time that wants to have a great view.

The "main attraction" of this hike will leave you speechless! You will reach the bottom of a canyon like formation with a waterfall. This trail was formed to have easy access to the West Fork Tuckaseegee River for kayakers. Extra water is released only a few days a year to create whitewater. It is only a 3/4 mile of a hike one way. Although it is a short hike it is a very steep hike equivalent to climbing 73 flights of stairs. When you return back to your starting point there is a beach to swim in at Lake Glenville to cool off from the steep incline you just completed.
