Taughannock Falls Overlook is a quick walk through Taughannock Falls State Park leading to a beautiful 214 foot waterfall.

This is a quick and easy hike leading to an incredible 214 foot waterfall that is beautiful in all four seasons. Bring the whole family and hangout by the falls for the afternoon, weather permitting. During the winter, the falls transform the surrounding cliffs into a wall of ice and snow, but in the warmer months, the mist and shade near the falls provide the perfect retreat.

To reach the falls, park at the Taughannock Farms Inn along Highway 89, opposite Cayuga Lake, and head away from the road to find the trailhead at the edge of the parking lot. Take the well signed Gorge Trail all the way to the base of the falls. The trail is wide, relatively flat and friendly for the whole family.
