Description

This is a great hike, with beautiful views from the top of the mountain. A lot of people can be seen on the trail, but they all offer a smile and a hello in passing.

Parking is easy off of 9D, sharing with the Stoney Point State Park. Starting up the Washburn Trail (white markers) took me just over an hour to reach the top, allowing to stop for lunch and take a bunch of pictures. Throughout the hike I stopped to take in the view and thought, "wow this is amazing" every step higher I got, as the view just became more and more breath-taking.

After reaching the top it took me less than an hour to get back down to the parking lot. This is a great hike for all levels of experience and can easily be done in under 3 hours.
