New York, New York

Historic BackgroundDiverse NeighborhoodsGreat FoodBeautiful Landscapes and Cityscapes

From famous cityscapes to hidden coffee shops only known by the locals, NYC has earned its reputation as one of the most magical cities in the modern world. The diversity of its population is characterized in its diverse areas and neighborhoods. From Manhattan to the Bronx, there is beauty on every street. A personal favorite was a small garden I stumbled across on my latest trip there. Hidden behind an Old Catholic church, it was ripe with gardenry, and buzzing with life, as hummingbirds and bees flew overhead. Although no bigger than my own backyard, this garden was overflowing with plants, trees, and flowers. Thinly paved walkways were intricately laid out throughout the garden, but the plant life spilled over, almost encompassing the walkways with flowers and fruits alike. In the city that never sleeps I found myself in complete silence, only hearing the muffled buzz of bees. There is no right way to explore New York City. Each street is a new adventure, and because of that I have concluded that the best way to explore New York City is to just walk, on top of visiting all of the NYC “musts”, take the subway somewhere new and go for a stroll, report back what you find.
