There are two ponds at the Owen's Station Crossing facility within the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. A larger one, with a handicap accessible dock and a smaller one towards the back of the property. Both are full of all different kinds of fish including bass, perch, sunfish etc.
It's a great location for a family day out or to try your hand at some new lures. We spent the day trying all different kinds of lures and baits on the small pond. Eventually we were able to land these two beautiful large mouth bass.
The Refuge is in the heart of Sussex County and is a great location for just about any outdoor activity. For more information on the Refuge visit their website at: http://www.fws.gov/refuge/Wallkill_River/
